2017 Motorcycle Convention is Cancelled

It is with great sadness that we have to inform you that the Grampian Motorcycle Convention is cancelled for 2017.

As many of you will have heard by now that there was a serious incident involving an individual track hire test session yesterday where unfortunately the driver was killed. As a result the police and HSE are investigating the cause.

We are sure you will join us in offering our thoughts and prayers to the family and friends of the deceased.

Barry Sheene's bikes on display!

Two of the most famous bikes on the planet will be on display at the Convention this year. These are the actual Suzuki RG500's that Barry Sheene used to win his two 500c world championshhip titles in 1976 and 1977. After having been dormant for 40 years these bikes were brought back from Australia and given a nut and bolt restoration. This will be your only chance to see these bikes on scottish soil before they are shipped back to the Sheene family in Australia.

Guest Stars for 2017 Confirmed

Exciting line up for 2017!

Our three guest stars for this year can really only be described as the future of Scottish road racing. From the exalted and rarified world of Moto GP racing we have John McPhee, already a GP winner and proving his talent yet again this year. Also from the Moto GP paddock and racing in the Moto 2 class we have Tarran Mackenzie who is also the reigning British supersport champion. Our third guest is Taylor Mackenzie who this year is racing in the British Superbike class on the yet unproven but improving Suzuki GSX1000R. Taylor also happens to the reigning British superstock champion. We think these three guys have a very bright future ahead of them so get along to the Convention and give them your support.
